Abstract
The evaluation of telemedical systems and services is a very complex task. Whereas software and hardware components can be described by measurable parameters, service quality is often a subjective assessment based on questionnaires. The authors describe the first evaluation step made for the ophthalmological teleconsultation network after one year of service. On the other hand the authors have used the telemedical network for the verification of a decision support system developed together with the participants of the telemedical network
