Abstract :
We present the technology proposed for the super B muon system. The detector is based on MINOS style extruded scintillator coupled to wavelength shifting fibers. The light readout is done by means of Silicon Photomultiplier devices. We report our R&D results about charge spectra and time resolution for different readout configuration; setup optimization and experimental issues are also discussed as well as the future plans and perspectives.
