  • Abstract
    By analyzing the current situation of data sharing between Web applications and the different characteristics between campus network and Web, we propose two primary goals in designing a new data sharing system for campus network, which are giving the control of data back to the user and utilizing the existing infrastructure in a campus network. To accomplish these two goals, a new design of a data sharing system for campus network is presented. The three parties in this new system: consumer, data provider and certification server are defined and the interaction process among them is explained in detail. A prototype system is implemented to demonstrate our design, some limitations and existing issues of this design are also given in this paper.
