Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
As a solid waste, fly ash has a great potential in environmental applications and interesting alternative to replace activated carbon or zeolites for adsorption in the air or water pollution treatment. Turn waste into wealth has a profound significance. The adsorption capacity of fly ash may be increased after chemical and physical activation. In this paper, we talk about some modifications of fly ash and some researches have discussed using modified fly ash to treat kinds of waste water which contain pollutions such like heavy metals, dye, fluoride and phenol. Future research and some present disadvantages in these areas are also discussed.
