Abstract :
Some questions related to the synthesis of walking vehicles are discussed in the article: the entire structural synthesis of the walking vehicle; the synthesis of its corpus, its form, and positioning the points of suspending the legs in a way allowing minimal energy consumption in motion; the synthesis of the legs dimensions based on the limits for overcoming obstacles by the walking vehicle. The proposed approach is illustrated upon an original kinematic design by a numerical design. The results can be used for formalizing the synthesis procedure of walking vehicles and for their design.<>
