Abstract
Extensive research has been done to reduce the ASIC design cycle time using multi-FPGA systems. This paper proposes an innovative multi-FPGA system using antifuse FPGAs (FPLDs) placed on a MCM with laser vertical links as the programmable interconnects between the FPLD modules. This LPMCM has better performance characteristics then the conventional multi-FPGA due to the inherent advantages of MCM over board systems coupled with faster programmable interconnects
