Processing high ammonia nitrogen piggery wastewater with the sequencing batch of activated sludge, we research about the key step, shortcut nitrification and denitrification process. We determine the water indicator, with the long-term operation, meanwhile we use DGGE to observe the microbial community of sludge. Results show that, the reactor still can reach 96% removal rate of ammonia nitrogen, accumulation ratio of NO2--N is 68.9% as average, removal rate of COD is 50%, the microbial community structure of sludge is simple, the advantage bacterium is obvious, Shannon index is 1.24 at the begin, reduced volatility, minimum for 0.44.
