  • Abstract
    This paper deals with some key issues and challenges concerning the planning and design of a trigeneration plant. Possible inaccuracies in the trigeneration plant design are discussed, focusing on the characteristics of the cooling side, with details on alternative cooling equipment. New indicators for assessing the production of different energy vectors in a multi-generation system are proposed. These indicators are computed by using the results of time-domain simulations run to compare different equipment and regulation strategies. The results provide a comparative view on the equivalent fuel efficiency in producing the single energy vectors
