Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the effect of the treatment of landfill leachate from the composite bed of denitrification and methanogenesis. The experimental results show when the ratio of COD/NO3-N in supplying water is 4 to 9, the denitrification is not complete. COD removal mainly depends on the sludge bed, the lower part of reactor. But when the ratio COD/NO3-N in the supplying water is bigger than 9, the concentration of NO3-N in the yielding water from the sludge bed is less than 1mg/L. That means the denitrification is complete; both the sludge bed and the packed bed function very well on the role of COD removal. The total removal rate is 70 to 80%. In other words, the technological treatment of landfill leachate from the composite bed of methane production and denitrification has better adaptability.
