Abstract
Rapid urbanization increased the pressure of urban drainage system. We use GIS technology to simulate urban drainage pipeline system rapidly, and to analyze the situation of real-time network operation and to realize intelligent management. This article analyses the principle of SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) model. We complete the simulation of some areas in Wuhan on the base of GIS, and use the rainfall condition to study the difference of catchment areas and to extract relevant attribute data, calibrate model parameters. Finally, we get the relationship of rainfall with infiltration amount and runoff changes to guide the transformation of drainage pipeline.
