Abstract
Correlate macroscopic syndrome and microscopic indexes is a very urgent and difficult problem in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The aim of this study was to establish correlative rule of symptom in TCM and biological parameter and establish biological parameter diagnosis pattern of symptom in TCM. Twenty-two biological parameters were detected on thirty-two unstable angina with QI deficiency syndrome patients and ten healthy people. Using decision tree, we gain a pattern made by three biological parameters which could distinguish unstable angina with QI deficiency syndrome patients from the healthy people. The diagnosis accuracy could reach 75%. The obtained patterns are validated by 3- fold cross validation. The decision tree may be a suitable data mining method for the establishment of correlative rule of symptom in TCM and biological parameter and for the discovery of illness or symptom in TCM diagnosis pattern.
