Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
In the paper we study the evolution process of river channel and talk about the change and tendency of channel patterns by controlling slope and the ration of width to depth, while the initial river is set as the straight channel. During seven experiments the slope was changed from a minimum of 50/00 to a maximum of 180/00. Three types of channel pattern that are braiding, meandering and straight occurred in the experiments reported here.
