    This paper introduces the cleaner production processes of Hot Press Upgrading (HPU). Tail gas and lignite-derived water are created during the HPU process. When treated by the combined process of ´A2/O + Ozone oxidation + UBAF´, the quality of the lignite-derived water can meet China´s reuse standard for the power plant´s circulating cooling water. After separation by the two-stage cyclone separator, a sintered metal powder filter treats the tail gas produced from the HPU process. After the above treatment, the tail gas´s removal efficiency exceeds 99.5%.
