  • Abstract
    The main purpose of this study is to focus on the kind of supply chain that is currently in application, in the Vietnamese footwear Industry. This research will deeply help us understand the current supply chain model of the Vietnamese footwear Industry and its positive contribution to the footwear industry in general. The study has resorted to a survey method, specifically a direct questionnaire method. Though the sample size has been fixed as 280, it has been successful to get 54 questionnaires completely filled-in from the managers of 54 Vietnamese footwear industry participants. The most significant results of the study include: (i) the supply chain model that is being currently put in use in the Vietnamese footwear industry observed to be almost agile; (ii) the research has found that the current supply chain models in-practice are able to help the industry participants to improve productivity, save cost, manufacture efficiently, improve performance on marketing and sales, increase customer satisfaction, build and maintain good relationship with the suppliers
