In March 2010, ambient air was sampled with active high-volume air sampler on the roof of the No.26 building of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Total 97 and 91 congeners of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were detected in gaseous phase (PUF) and particulate phase (GFF), respectively. The concentration of ^PCBs in gas and particulate phase was 1133.491 pg·m-3, 7.601 pg·m-3, respectively. The total TEQ in gas and particulate phase was 5.996 fg·m-3, 2.298 fg·m-3, respectively. Compared with some other countries, the atmospheric quality in Dalian is better.
