Abstract :
For a few years, multichannel receivers have been developed in particular for mobile radiocommunications applications, such as the GSM system, to improve the reception performance in the presence of both inter-symbol interference (ISI) and co-channel interference (CCI). In this context, the purpose of this paper is to present a new multichannel receiver, aiming at jointly mitigating the ISI and CCI from the knowledge of a training sequence. This new multichannel equalizer is shown to be easy to implement, powerful, to have a low complexity and to convergence quickly. The performance of this multichannel receiver is then analysed in the context of a GSM uplink with ISI and CCI, both theoretically and experimentally.
