After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

An Enterovirus 71(EV71) strain was isolated in Hubei Province, named HB09-01. We cloned VP1 gene by the method of Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chains Reaction. The VP1 gene was then sequenced and analyzed to determine the phylogenetic relationship between HB09-01 and other representative EV71 strains, the results showed that HB09-01 has the highest similarity with the strain isolated in Fuyang, Anhui Province in 2008.
