Attenuation Law of Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particular for benzene and naphthalene derivative emitted from particleboard at different temperatures was studied in this paper. GC/MS was used for qualitative and quantitative of VOCs. The concentration and type of VOCs were markedly influenced by temperature. Its release dependencies on temperature were related to the type of VOCs. High temperature contributes to some kinds of VOCs to release or pro release while they were not even found at low temperature, such as 1-methyl-4-(1-methylethenyl)-benzene and 2-methoxy-4 methyl-1-(1-methylethyl)-benzene. 1-ethyl-3-methyl-benzene was emitted earlier at higher temperature. Ethylbenzene, p-xylene, 1, 2, 4-trimethyl-benzene and 1, 2, 3, 4-tetramethyl-benzene were found both at high and low temperature, and their concentrations were higher at the high temperature. However, 1 methyl-4-(phenyl methyl)-benzene and 1, 1´-methylenebis [4 methyl-benzene reversed the former law. (1-pentylheptyl) benzene was difficult volatile substance. The reason is the larger molecular weight, the smaller diffusion coefficients of VOC it is.
