In order to characterize the size distributions of indoor airborne microbes at the several important public spaces in spring in HuaiNan, a waiting room of railway station, a shopping mall and a classroom were conducted and the fluctuation regular was also analysed. Results showed that the levels of fungi concentrations were higher in the waiting room and shopping and the distribution characteristics which were not changed with the different places and periods were very different among airborne bacteria, fungi and actinomycete. Airborne bacteria appeared skew distribution; the particles larger than 2.1 μm account for 75.0% of the total while smaller than 1.1 μm contribute 8.0% approximately. Airborne fungi were recorded with normal logarithm distribution; the particles between 1.1 μm and 4.7 μm account for 65.0% while smaller than 1.1 μm contribute 5.0% approximately. The distributions of airborne actinomycete were completely opposite to fungi; the particles larger than 7.0 μm and smaller than 1.1 μm accounted for 70.0% while between 3.3 μm and 4.7 μm contribute 6.0% approximately.
