Underground coal fires are widely distributed in our country, especially in northern, which are not only cause considerable waste of coal resources, but also produce a large volume of toxic gas and serious pollution of regional atmospheric environment. This paper generalizes research findings of domestic and abroad in recent years on underground coal fires prevention and control. Furthermore, combining with analysis of status, it prospects the trend of technology of underground coal fires prevention and control. So this paper will have far-reaching guide significance toward prevention and control of underground coal fires and atmospheric pollution.
