Abstract
Out of necessity, synchronous rectifiers (SR) are rapidly gaining popularity in the field of DC/DC converters. The high efficiency of SR has been the principle reason beyond the drive. However, since a SR is a MOSFET, reverse current through SR can and does happen. This paper reviews some of the techniques of controlling a SR, and provides a balanced view of SR applications
