Abstract
A DC side active power filter (APF) based on one cycle control is proposed in this paper. The DC side APF is paralleled at the DC side of rectify bridge, which compensates the harmonic current and reactive current drawn by nonlinear load. One cycle control is adopted to control this DC APF, there is no need to sense the load current, no need to calculate the harmonic and reactive component of the load current, and no need for the multiplier. Only the output current of the rectify bridge and the capacitor voltage of APF are needed to be sensed. The compensation performance is analyzed and an improved control method which correction the inductor current ripple is also proposed in this paper. The improved method not only enhances the compensation property, but also broadens the stability region. All the findings are verified by experiment and simulation results.
