  • Abstract
    In this paper, we propose a novel and simple MIMO channel estimation technique based on 2D spread pilots. Taking advantage of the simplicity and flexibility of 2D spread pilot channel estimation, we easily combine the Alamouti code with the Walsh-Hadamard codes to obtain a space code block code (SCBC) MIMO scheme. We demonstrate that our proposed system is much more efficient in high mobility scenario than the classical STBC scheme. The performance evaluated over a realistic channel model shows the efficiency of this technique which turns out to be a promising MIMO channel estimation technique for the future mobile video broadcasting systems.
