Abstract :
Tele-existence is a concept named for the technology which enables a human being to have a real time sensation of being at the place other than the place where he or she actually is, and is able to interact with the remote and/or virtual environment. He or she can tele-exist in a real world where the robot exists or in a virtual world which a computer generates. It is possible to tele-exist in a combined environment of real and virtual. According to the concept, an experimental tele-existence system in real and/or virtual environment is designed and developed, and an evaluation experiment of a tele-existence system is conducted and efficacy of the tele-existence system is verified and the superiority of the tele-existence method is demonstrated through several experimental tasks.<>
