Abstract :
A suspension system has modeled as a two-degree-of freedom quarter-car model to represent passive and active suspension systems. In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller for an active vehicle suspension is developed. The proposed system has been simulated using MATLAB, and been compared with a passive suspension. The simulation results show that fuzzy logic based suspension system provides better ride comfort and road handling, because it decreases the vehicle body acceleration and tire deflection.
