  • Abstract
    The embedded numerical control system based on DSP(Digital Signal Processor) discussed in this paper discards the traditional constitutive mode which is always highly specialized, lack of versatility and complicated in construction. The new system is constructed as a dual-CPU numerical control system with high performance by integrating motion controller PMAC2A-PC/104 based on DSP with Embedded IPC(Industrial PC). The motion controller can solve problems of high real-time demand by means of DSP´s good real-time motion control function, while the IPC can realize the management and human-computer interaction function of the whole system by utilizing rich existing software and powerful programming tools. This system has many advantages, including short development cycle, powerful functions, good performance, small size, high integration and low cost etc.
