Abstract :
In this paper, the features of the FlexRay Bus, such as its special network topology, communication cycle, as well as its fault tolerance, high bandwith and deterministic behavior are introduced. Then taking the communication model of the steer-by-wire system for example, the application and implementation of the In-Vehicle FlexRay Network on steer-by-wire system was described. And the FlexRay Network communication scheduling and protocol parameters were designed based on the FlexRay communication protocol specification. In the end, using Freescale´s MC9S12XF512 and MFR4200 respectively as the MCU and the communication controller, the hardware and the software of the FlexRay node were designed.
