0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 mg/ml aluminum trichloride were added to splenic lymphocytes of chicken and were primary cultured for 24h in vitro. The activities of NOS, GSH-Px, SOD and the contents of NO, MDA of splenic lymphocytes were detected to research cytotoxic effect mechanism of aluminum on splenic lymphocyte. The results showed that the activity of NOS and the contents of NO,MDA increased, the activities of SOD and GSH-Px decreased with increase of aluminum concentration, which were significantly different compared with the control group (p<;0.05;p<;0.01). The results indicated that aluminum decreased antioxidative defense function of splenic lymphocyte in chickens.
