Abstract
An eight-element series-fed array was built with a 27 dB Chebyshev amplitude distribution in a standing wave configuration for broadside radiation. The amplitude distribution was controlled by adjusting the offsets, and the interelement spacing was decided by the propagation constant of the covered microstripline. The characteristic impedance and the equivalent element resonant resistances were used for impedance matching to a 50 Omega source. The measured and calculated radiation patterns are presented and found to be in good agreement.<>
