Abstract
This paper presents a design method of noise canceller using a parallel adaptive Volterra filter (PAVF). The adaptive Volterra filter (AVF) corresponding to nonlinear systems is attractive due to linear relationship between its input and output signals. However, the formidable computer complexity of AVF is prohibitive for its practical applications. Proposed PAVF in this paper is partitioned into several subfilters to reduce computational work. We applied the PAVF into noise canceller instead of usual adaptive filter. Finally, the computer simulation results are presented to validated our proposed method
