Abstract :
Discusses IS-41 standards for both terminal and personal mobility management. IS-41 only addresses the terminal mobility management at present. The international and national standards bodies are now addressing the PCS such as the UPT service that deals with personal mobility management. IS-41 needs to be enhanced so that the UPT users can register at the cellular terminals
