Abstract :
Large-diameter gas-pipe is widely used in city gas transportation system. Detecting rusty pipe wall is a common problem of inspecting gas-pipe periodically. According to characteristic of gas-pipe, a roller ultrasonic probe was designed, and couplant is not necessary. With the detection system and the probe set on a pipe machine car, pipe wall thickness can be detected periodically by a method dry couple. And the method of processing detection signal is also introduced in this paper
