Combustion characteristics of the pyrolysis product from a municipal household garbage mixture with 9 typical components were studied by using a small-scale external heated fixed bed pyrolyser in a temperature ranged from 300°C to 700°C. The experimental results show that pyrolysis temperature has an effect on the elemental analysis contents and industrial analysis contents of the semi-coke, further impacting on the combustion characteristics of the semi-coke. The heating value of semi-coke decreases obviously as temperature increases, ranging from 24.7 MJ/kg at 300°C to 20.99MJ/kg at 550°C. When pyrolysis temperature is over 550°C, the heating value of semi coke is changed slowly.
