Abstract :
The components spatial dispersion has important effect on the dynamic response of large machine tool feed system. Aimed at large milling gear machine, distributed parameter method was used to represent the influence of continuous distributed torsion in slender ball screw. Lumped parameter method was used to model AC servo system and worktable drive system. Finally, a complete distributed-lumped model of X-axis drive system was derived and simulated. The simulation results were compared with the results from pure lumped model. It proves that the dynamic response of distributed-lumped model is slower than the one of lumped model.
