Abstract
To deal with network induced random delays shorter than one sampling period in networked control systems, the segmented time-stamped dynamic matrix control is proposed. Through correcting the vectors of step response coefficients and control coefficients at each control step based on measured delays by time-stamping the sensor data, the control performance is improved. The algorithm description and program realization are given, and a segmented approximation algorithm is also introduced to reduce the calculation burden for the controller. Then the algorithm was validated in a networked control system based on the TrueTime simulator, and better performance is obtained in controlling a DC motor in shared Ethernet compared to standard dynamic matrix control algorithm
