Abstract
The paper is devoted to both modeling and elaboration of advanced polaritonic photodetector based on the metal (Au or Ag / semiconductor (GaAs)) surface barrier heterostructures (SBH) with the diffraction grating on the interface. The transmittance / reflectance angular and spectral characteristics of SBH with diffraction grating have been investigated theoretically. The diffraction gratings (bigratings) in GaAs were manufactured by the two holographic methods. Much attention was focused on the effect of processing conditions, exploiting various cover material, modification of inter/aces (bigrating) on device performance when profitingfrom Ihe high inter/acialfield intensity of the surface plasrnons
