  • Abstract
Based on the maximum-likelihood approach a feedforward timing estimation algorithm for an all-digital implementation of fast symbol timing recovery subsystems is proposed. The performance of the proposed applied to QPSK and offset-QPSK TDMA in the presence of AWGN, is evaluated by analysis, simulations and experiments. The results show that the proposed scheme provides very fast acquisition and low complexity, suitable for point-to-multipoint TDMA systems.
