Abstract
The authors deal with the dependence of the statistical properties of the sector average signal, or slow fading, on physical parameters such as antenna height, frequency and building height variations. Using wave theoretic model, the statistical properties are computed for different choices of parameters. The model demonstrates why the sector averages exhibit a lognormal distribution, independent of the statistical distribution of building height
