Abstract
Through the comparative experiments between M15 methanol gasoline and pure gasoline combustion in the electronic fuel injection (EFI) and the carburetor-type gasoline engine, this thesis studies the changing patterns of M15 methanol gasoline in power output and economic efficiency. The experiment results indicate that both the power and efficiency are improved after using M15 methanol gasoline in gasoline engine. Under the same operating circumstances, the formaldehyde emission of M15 methanol gasoline is higher than that of the gasoline, but with the increase of the engine loads, the amount of formaldehyde is getting smaller.
