Abstract :
Testing of large electrical and electronic systems to meet EMC worldwide standards is itself a difficult job. Testing of bulky CNC machinery is a task with added difficulties. The purpose of this paper is to describe how such a difficult task was carried out together with a set of guidelines derived from this task and later applied to a case study which not only proved the usefulness of the guidelines, but also resulted in wide spread use of the testing method with surprisingly good results which has earned many internationally recognized competent bodies acceptance/approval of its testing methods/results
