Abstract :
The hybrid method, HM, which is a combination of the method of moments (MoM) and the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (UTD) has been extended in the sense, that a new class of geometrical structures is accessible now. The limitations so far determined by a small set of available canonical bodies have been overcome by a surface description based on parametric bicubic splines, which is more appropriate to technical objects. First preliminary results are presented and validated by comparison with results gained from the previous version of our HM code
