Abstract :
The spectrum width of ultrashort light pulses produced by a distributed feedback dye laser (DFDL) is numerically investigated depending on lasing wavelength. It is established that the spectrum width broadening taking place in the course of wavelength tuning is caused by the appropriate change of the emission and absorption cross sections of dye molecules.
