Abstract
Radiation calculations usually involve full wave electromagnetic solvers which are very computation intensive. An approach using much faster static capacitance and inductance solvers is presented here. It can take into account the nonlinear circuit elements and therefore provides more accurate solutions. Most PCBs, MCMs, packages, and ICs are planar structures and special computation techniques are used to calculate frequency dependent current distributions in these planes. Once the current distribution in all parts of the structure is known, both differential and common mode radiation can be calculated
