Cross-functional teamwork in technology-based organizations

This paper examines how cross-functional teams can contribute to new product development (NPD). As market environments have become more dynamic and complex, technology-based organizations have needed to respond more quickly and proficiently to both opportunities and threats. Cross-functional teams (CFTs) are helping organizations meet these new challenges. Their success, however, is not automatic in organizations.
