  • Abstract
The application of wind energy for 26,000 DWT ocean-going bulk carrier is analyzed in this paper, which taken by establishing dynamic mathematical model, making statistical analysis on wind energy resources of the typical routes, determining the sail area and arrangement plan. The advantage of the sail is estimated greater than 6% comparing with conventional bulk carrier on the selected routes based on the calculated results.
