Employment and human resource allocation are the bread-and-butter issues that require urgent attention and careful handling. In the face of the financial crisis recent years which seriously affected the labor market and economic growth all around the world, the Chinese government has poured large amount of investment into the high-speed rail net. However, whether the HSR investment will solve the problems of the labor market and boost economic growth is still under discussion. In this paper, the author briefly introduced the HSR investment in China at first, and then thoroughly analyzed the immediate and remote impacts of China´s HSR investment on labor market. Finally, based on the previous studies, several corresponding reasonable and practical policy recommendations are provided for reference.
