Abstract
For the successful design of products based on the MID technology, it is important to establish a vertically seamless linkage between the upstream design and the downstream manufacturing processes. In this paper, a methodology for the vertical integration of Simulation fitted to the needs of molded interconnect devices was presented. Based on this method, an effective communication during the MID design process between MIDCAD and the simulation of the injection molding process in MOLDFLOW could be established. The integrated design environment increases the efficiency of the MID design process and also towards the rational and optimal design of MID products.
