Abstract
Scattering matrix measurements using circular polarization and radar cross section measurements at linear polarization are performed on radar targets. For the scattering matrix, measurements of both amplitudes and phase at RHC and LHC polarizations are performed at 9.6 GHz, and the scattering matrix for any reciprocal target can be determined. Using these results the radar cross sections for linear polarization can be calculated. For the same targets, radar cross-section measurements are performed independently at linear polarization and for a wider frequency range. A description of the techniques and results on various targets are presented.<>
