Abstract :
Summary form only given. The rare-earth ion containing Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) monolayers have attracted considerable attention recently as potential literally 2D magnetic structures. In the present paper, the magnetic properties of Gd-containing LB films are studied by means of SHG spectroscopy and nonlinear magneto-optical Kerr effect (NOMOKE).
