Abstract :
In the paper the buffering architectures used in packets switches of IP and ATM technologies were classified. The mathematical model for service of packets using the FIFO strategy was proposed, the simulation model of packet switch was built and influence of switch functioning on service quality within real time and accelerated were determined.
